The design center that is proposed as a tri-leveled porous structure with a central core (minaret) also restores 3 of its facades. The ground level has the workshops along the façade, the pathway leads to the level 1 which views the workshops in action and further where the façade is re-instated as a Library. The upper level is an active learning and exhibit space. Supporting the architectural intervention is the layer of social integration through social capital credits thereby reconfiguring relations between people. The architecture adapts from the layers of Islamic culture in Baghdad with the use of kiln burnt bricks, steel & mud plaster as construction material to rethinking the Historical elements of the Jaali & Minaret.
