Sanitary provisions are about functionality, as much as they are about availability. To battle with the issue of constant maintenance, S4 is proposed to be a self-sufficient model, that harnesses all required energy off the grid, produces manure and bio-waste that enrich its surroundings. Modules can be added and subtracted in all directions to create an elegant system of sanitation, functional and aesthetic.
A network of sanitation module that grows organically while carving spaces for the villagers. A sanitation model that focuses of Sanitation hygiene and menstrual health awareness & acceptability. Spaces that allow village women to build their own low-cost sanitary napkins. A system of created by a network of modular toilet units.

Toilet – a basic need and imperative, yet unavailable to many men. To counter the ongoing issue of constant maintenance, S4 is proposed as a modular toilet, a self-sufficient module that harnesses energy off the grid – solar cells on the top produce the required electrical energy, a conical roof collects and stores water, a compost pit recycles all waste generated and produces manure and bio-waste that enrich their surroundings. S4 creates a system of sanitation by a network of modular toilet units. Each module is an individually complete sanitation model - Modules can be attached to create an elegant system of sanitation, which is functional and aesthetic.
